Role Overview:
We are looking for a Graphic Designer with experience (or strong interest) in promotional products and branded merchandise. This role is hands-on and varied — you’ll be designing artwork to scale, preparing print-ready files, building presentations, creating digital and web assets, and supporting social and video content.
Accuracy, organisation, and the ability to follow briefs are just as important as creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
Promotional Product Artwork:
- Create print-ready artwork to scale for promotional products (e.g. apparel, drinkware, bags, tech, packaging).
- Set up artwork correctly for different decoration methods (screen print, embroidery, digital print, transfer, etc.).
- Follow supplier artwork specifications and templates.
- Prepare and update artwork proofs for client approval.
- Amend artwork based on feedback accurately and efficiently.
Presentations & Sales Collateral:
- Design professional PowerPoint / Google Slides / PDF presentations.
- Create branded pitch decks, product presentations, and proposal visuals.
- Ensure consistency with brand guidelines and client branding.
Digital & Web Assets: Create web-ready images for:
- Websites.
- Landing pages.
- Corporate stores.
- Email campaigns.
- Optimise graphics for different digital formats and platforms.
Video & Motion Content: Create short-form videos for:
- Social media.
- Product highlights.
- Brand storytelling.
- Edit basic video content (text overlays, transitions, simple animations).
- Repurpose static designs into short motion formats.
Social Media & Marketing Support:
- Design social media tiles, carousels, stories, and ads.
- Support ongoing marketing campaigns with creative assets.
- Adapt designs across multiple platforms and sizes.
Required Skills & Experience:
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator (essential).
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop & InDesign.
- Basic video editing skills (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar).
- Strong understanding of artwork setup for print.
- Ability to design to scale and follow production specifications.
Design & Industry Skills:
- Experience in promotional products, print, merchandise, or packaging (highly regarded).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow briefs, brand guidelines, and templates.
- Comfortable working with revisions and client feedback.
Soft Skills:
- Highly organised and reliable.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proactive and solutions-focused.
- Comfortable working with remote teams and international clients.
Nice to Have (but not essential):
- Experience working with promotional product suppliers.
- Understanding of decoration methods and print limitations.
- Canva experience (for simple edits or client-friendly assets).
- Experience creating assets for Shopify or corporate stores.
